Selling your home? Take your Realtor's advice! Do your cleaning, and improvements BEFORE you list it for sale!
Your home will get most showings the first couple of weeks it is on the market! Do you get that? The first few weeks is when it will be seen the MOST!
Clean up. Declutter. Install new flooring. Paint! Plant pansies! BEFORE you list!
Don't wait 4 weeks down the road and THEN decide to do these things. Yes, it might help...BUT you've missed the boat! The majority of your showings have already happened!!
937 Ralph Drive, Cary NC - Greenwood Forest
Quite a lovely home. Previously owned by grandparents of current owners. Well taken care of. BUT now, several weeks after listing they have added wonderful flower boxes, landscaping, bits and pieces of lovely things.....that would have added to "curb" appeal from the start! WHY didn't they do it before???

937 Ralph Drive - Cary NC - will have new kitchen flooring & countertops this week. New flower boxes along the driveway. Spotless carpeting. Decluttered bedrooms. Fresh paint in most of the rooms. Some updated lighting. Lovely hardwood floors in the family room.

Sometimes the excitment of making the decision gets to the sellers, and they WANT TO LIST IT NOW! Then the thought process begins about how to make it look nicer. All of the things the sellers did in the first few weeks were cheaper than the first price reduction.
It is true if you have curb appeal and it looks like a model it will sell faster than the other homes if it is priced right.
Aboslutely true and very good advice. I liked your clean and simple pictures. No clutter. Nice.
Thank you all for stopping by. "Best condition, best pricing" still holds true when selling your home. I always ask sellers what they think will make their house sell before all the others on the market.
