Nellie, WOO HOO!! It is always so exciting when our soldiers feet hit American soil. Our son got out of Iraq this last March from his second tour. He was based at Fort Hood and the post I wrote welcoming him home will probably always be my favorite post of all time. He is out of the Army now and a college student.
Marchel,
My son-in-law's brother, Gene, has been on 14 flying missions overseas. He's home now but got another coming soon. I hope it's his last one! I will check out your post (not seen it yet), but I hope all these service men & women make it home safely. The tragedy at Fort Hood recently has me so heart broken.
So thankful your son is in the "student" realm now! And best wishes to him to enjoy & prosper in the good life of the USA. Some just don't realize how wonderful this country is.
Nellie, Thank Gene for his service. That's a lot of flying missions. I wrote a post about my thoughts on the Fort Hood massacre on Veterans day and it has a link to my favorite post.
Nellie,
Good job to feature a happy homecoming and to celebrate their service. :)
Steve
Nellie, wonderful picture. Bet there were a lot of happy people in that room!
Nellie, It is always good to see folks support our troops. It is always good to see them come home too. Great photo...
