Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival in Cary NC is August 22 2009 ! Lazy Daze (as all the locals call it) happens the 3rd Saturday of every August since 1977.
Downtown Cary NC closes down the roads on Friday, the many (over 400) artists start setting up for the big day on Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. when an expected 60,000 people will be attending Lazy Daze.
Lazy Daze is a juried show - artists must submit their work and be asked to exhibit at the festival. The show history is outlined on the Town of Cary website and is quite an interesting read. Cary NC has grown from less than 25,000 people to way over the 100,000 mark.
Come on into Cary NC to the Lazy Daze Festival 2009 . In addition to the great art work for sale, there's plenty of food and entertainment. Grab a sno-cone, BBQ sandwich or some funnel cakes - sit back & enjoy!
